About D1 Now

D1 Now is a research project funded by the Health Research Board. We are based at NUI Galway and the Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at University Hospital Galway. D1 Now aims to improve engagement between young adults with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and their healthcare providers and ultimately improve their self management and diabetes-related health outcomes. The D1 Now intervention is co-designed by researchers and young adults living with T1D.

The D1 Now intervention takes place in the young adult clinic and involves using an Agenda Setting Tool and meeting with a Support Worker. Check out our blog and recent publications to learn more about this work.
